About Us

SHH  was founded in 2022 by Alexis and Faith while they were undergraduate students, driven by a shared question: What prevents clinicians from connecting compassionately with patients in their most vulnerable moments, and how can we do better? Troubled by the growing epidemic of clinician burnout and suicide, they recognized a critical gap in medical training: the lack of emphasis on humanistic, reflective, and emotionally intelligent care.  SHH was created to give students, an often underrepresented group in this field, the space and tools to explore these dimensions of medicine.

Today, SHH supplements undergraduate and graduate medical education globally, equipping future clinicians with the insight to sustain ethical awareness and resilience in the face of moral injury alongside their clinical expertise. By integrating narrative medicine, art, and ethics, we are helping shape a generation of clinicians who see patient care as both a scientific and deeply human endeavor.
